I recently (within the past year) ordered the Classic Bracelet in gold from
you and the clasp will not stay locked. This morning, I found the bracelet
on my patio floor with the locking mechanism missing. Last month, the
locking mechanism fell out and I had to re-secure it. From a previous
necklace purchase (gold), you sent a complimentary stainless bracelet with a
good clasp, but the wording was worn off before I received it. I figured
par for the course on that one. For the price of your gold items, one would
think they would be able to count on the quality being exceptional; which it
isn\'t - the wording is almost gone on the outside of the gold bracelet.
For your records, you can look me up to see what I had purchased: My address
is 1308 E Alameda St., Roswell NM 88203. I had numerous telephone numbers
that I may have used, but I sold my business and retired for medical
reasons.
What do you suggest to remedy the situation?
Their email back to me (approximately a week after my sending the above):
Dear George,
I will be more than happy to replace your clasp for you. I will need you to
please return your ID to us at:

We do recommend you send your ID back in an insured package. At this time,
if you would like us to reengrave the information, I can do so for 29.95.
Please let me know if you would like to do this.

The "re-doing" the engraving for $29.95 is unacceptable. I took the
bracelet to my local jewelry store and they are replacing the clasp with one
that will last and doing the engraving. The total cost to me will be $35.00
and they guarantee. I will also recommend to my elderly friends that they
get their bracelets and medical alert trinkets from THAT local jewelry
store. By the time I pay shipping, etc. to return the bracelet to you, it
will be cost prohibitive.
